G'morning everyone. We are starting a half hour late today so that JM IN THE AM, the show that precedes this one (on the radio broadcast, not the Web stream) could run long to finish its fundraiser. (They did three days of fundraising this week because the host, Nachum Segal's father died during our marathon three weeks ago.) Thanks for your patience!

Fuji came to my village shop and lost a filling eating a toffee. We had all hell on to get him fixed up with a dentist. Turned out ok.
I've now moved on to a different shop selling art materials.

The other Fujii, Paul Shearsmith, was the architect for an extension to a local high school ( Nantwich, S. Cheshire, UK ) I wonder if that was when his interest in playing gas-main pipes first started ?

Paul Skerrett. I've known Paul since 1965 when we were in Leeds as students. See the Echo City website to see what he's done since then. With his abiding interest in 'found' instruments, I have no doubt that seeing large yellow pipes on building sites would have cause him great excitement.
