I think it's a wee bit early for my bod, but my mind is cuttin' a rug like nobody's business. Dig them crazy Cues!
  9:22am still b/p:

It sounded like a cub of Tiger Man might have been "Well, now, they often call me Speedo..."
  9:31am Cecile:

Sorry to sound like a trainspotter ( does that translate in to US English ) but this Lata gorgeousness has reminded to let top djs know, if he doesn't already that one of the latest Trikonts is tasty in the extreme ' Konkani Songs ' Music From Goa - Made In Bombay ..
  10:01am annie:

i love this music.. very calming, so nice.. thanks
  10:08am Hugo:

A new Trikont? Well, I'll be in Berlin at the end of the month, so shall be investigated.

Hey, I was lucky to find an old Trikont - Kollektiv Rote Rube - mid-70s - at an open-air market in Utrecht, Holland!
  10:10am Janet H:

i made it....
  10:11am Hugo:

  10:30am Drummer Some:

Warm greetings to all and welcome to Yaniv in Jerusalem!
  10:31am Parq:

Back from my commute, but I caught little pieces of the Bolly set on the fly. Would have sworn that first track was Dengue Fever. Can't even tell Hindi from Khemer -- what the hell kind of American am I?
  10:32am Cecile:

Later! Have a swell morning.
10:38am ok, i have work to do..:

  10:45am trish:

  10:50am texas scott:

you know,as a kid growing up in Texas, whenever I heard jazz music,I always thought of New York....
wonder why?
  10:56am ken:

abdullah ibrahim?
  10:58am Drummer Some:

Ken,
Yup, Abudullah Ibrahim. He is "Dollar Brand" on the record sleeve, so that's how I've labled the playlist.
  11:02am ken:

my god, those duo shows he used to do with that sax player at sweet basil in early 80's were unbelievable. there is an album or two of them, but as fabulous as the albums are, they don't capture being there.
  11:03am Parq:

I still remember getting my first Dollar Brand album in the mid-70s, with a photo of a shack in (I assume) southern Africa on the cover. The photo and the music both haunt me still.
  11:11am annie:

hehe, ok i came back in. i just found a great patch of wildflowers. getting in here just in time for some great tunes. ahhh, life is good. and parq- i love to read your words..
  11:15am Karinne:

blissing out to your show.
  11:16am annie:

anyone know the soundtrack to the movie "waiting for the light" with shirley maclaine? this music is so like that.
  11:17am Carmichael:

Good Morning Doug and fellow potato mashers. A plethora of microbrews last night has left me sluggish this AM. Can you play a hangover song?
  11:18am Janet H:

Happy National Donut Day! Go get a free donut (w/ purchace of any beverage) @ DD today!
  11:23am meredith:

Hello my musical oasis! Work is out of control, as the kids say. Can you plan a calming song to wash away corporate juju? I'm pretty sure you can!
  11:34am Drummer Some:

One man's hangover song is another's corporate juju repellent. It's all good!
  11:36am Parq:

Billy's show is a no-go? Oh no! Woe -- the afternoon will surely go slow, y'know?
  11:36am Carmichael:

This works just fine, Doug, thanks. I'm just sittin' here drinkin' it in.

So to speak.
  11:37am Carmichael:

Whuh?!? Sumbitch. What's gonna happen at 3 PM? A 100 khz test signal for 3 hours?
  11:38am annie:

i just noticed that my cell phone has service now up here in the boonies..and a strong signal to boot! hmmm.. what up with that? doug you have me hooked, but you knew that!
  11:49am meredith:

I concur - it's so totally all good
  11:53am still b/p:

Damn! No Jam! Wham, bam, blank you, ma'am!
Give the drummer some Friday before-and-after-Bryce time! With sets like this, even a replay of the morning shift would satisfy nicely.
  11:59am SusieQ:

Great show!
  7:18pm LDub:

I was visiting my home state of NJ from VT and had nothing to listen to in the car on my way down to visit family at the jersey shore from my parents house. I was driving my mom's BMW which doesn't have a CD player if you can believe it (it's not even an old car; the CD player was "extra" and didn't come cheap so they opted against it.) I dreaded the ride down- it was either surfing the dial through shit music or riding in silence- which isn't too bad.
I was elated when I landed on your show! I thought "wow. Maybe Jersey can be cool sometimes..." It was a.w.e.s.o.m.e. Thank you Thank you.
  8:51pm Martooni:

Thought I would comment after LDub. It struck a chord.

Going to have to listen to an archived set. A friend passed on a few comps you put together. They were inspired and went looking for who you were Schulkind. Keep plugging away. We need you.
