I know I can change the goal, but my pride won't let me. Also, you are 100% correct that it is silly. One the one hand, the individual goals are tangible incentives that help everyone feel motivated. On the other hand, they are an artificial conceit that, for some, is completely unnecessary. WFMU tries not to take the pledge goal thing too terribly seriously.

If you pledge via links on the front page, your pledge defaults to 'Entire station'.

There is no wrong way to do it. Some people prefer to pledge to individual shows to say "thanks" to particular DJs. All the donations, no matter to whom they are pledged, go into the same steaming cauldron.
