Listener comments!
9:03am : Good morning, Bob and all. Another Saturday kicking off.9:11am : The year of the goat did not start out well for these poor creatures - www.poughkeepsiejournal.com... (the Red Hook in Dutchess County, not in Brooklyn).9:13am : Mornin' everyone! Great set.. 8-)9:24am : Morning, Bob, all. There are days one wants to have a horse. This is one.9:27am : Good morning! RIP Sam Andrew9:29am : I'm stunned to learn of Sam's passing.. Saw him a bunch of times a few years ago. Great guy..9:30am : Heh, this version almost makes him sounds glad about owing his soul to the company...9:39am : For many years "The President's Analyst" was my favorite movie.9:40am : Great movie! The VHS version of the flick had the Clear Light stuff edited out!9:46am : Don't look now but my head is buried in the snow.9:47am : Were Clear Light the ones who did "Changes"? In the VHS I saw, the music in the field w the domino effect of assassinations was changed to something that somewhat fit the scene but was relatively dull and didn't have the irony that I loved of the original music.9:49am : I saw it originally in the theater when it came out, then the b'cast. A few yrs. ago I saw bits of a version that's downloadable from a pirate-it-until-someone-objects service that a friend was showing me, and it had "Changes" rather than the VHS music in that scene.9:51am : Hi all, popping in and out (at work), but enjoying the show!9:52am : Hiya, Bob, and all. Got it going great this morning, again!9:52am : "Red" Allen was one of the greats, never got enough notice (or at least, not remembered as well as many others).9:52am : Red Allen ripping it up this morning!9:54am : More Butter!10:07am : RE Steve Miller: "He was disenchanted with academic politics at the University, so he took a Volkswagen Bus his father had given him and headed to San Francisco. Upon arrival, he used his last $5 to see the Butterfield Blues Band and Jefferson Airplane at the Fillmore Auditorium. Miller fell in love with the vibrant San Francisco music scene and decided to stay."10:09am : Money well spent :)10:09am : Never go wrong with Moby Grape10:19am : Wicked Pickett (need to be asleep by then these days...)10:23am : Scared away the signal...OOOOOOOOOOOOO!10:28am : Steve Miller is Les Paul's Godson.10:29am : That Sunday's song will be in my head atleast til Sunday10:30am : 10-4 BEAVO! And from my home town!10:32am : So I guess
Steve's dad was close with Les, was he a musician?10:33am : He was a physician!10:35am : Been loving the movie clips, Bob!10:35am : The Sunday's might have made it in the US If they had put a picture of the singer on any of the album covers.10:39am : Love The Grape. Bad manager ripped them off big time.10:43am : Love this O'Connell cat!10:48am : Another mighty fine program today, BobB !10:49am : I think it's always time for some Buddy Merrill!10:53am : Leiber and Stoller--all they did were novelty records, they weren't after the truth-hahahahaha10:54am : always likin' the occasional track from Flowers10:58am : Great show - Thanks Bob10:59am : yeah, thanks for the great tunes, bob
