@Bluesman -- Hey Blues! I first saw the Smithereens at a club on Bloomfield Ave in Montclair/Bloomfield. Were you with me? I just can't remember the name. It wasn't the Dirt Club... it was farther west on Bloomfield Ave. I think they were on a bill with the Mosquitoes... this was 1984 or 1985... I know I then saw then on a few bills with the Fleshtones around NYC shortly after... Lone Star Cafe and such....

@Mike - That doesn't ring a bell. I believe at one point you and I saw them with the Vipers and/or Mosquitoes - possibly the Lone Star (downtown era). I wish I had been more organized and kept a written history of such life-changing events.
