Oh, I see there's just been a schedule change, so the program originally scheduled for this time will be a few hours later. Amazing what you can do with electronics!

The Cannibal Stew special will be in three hours, Robert.

WR:

Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 11:24am
Jan Turkenburg:

Good thing that I didn't know that. I would have made a more politically correct show... Sillyness is better.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:08pm
WR:

i worked in record stores 1971 to 1975 and was curious about everything, so i am surprised when find out about something like Boa Constrictor & Natural Vine which came out in 1968 and must have been discontinued by 72 because i never saw it.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:13pm
Jan Turkenburg:

So must be even more obscure than I thought...
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:16pm
Jan Turkenburg:

I think I found it on a progrock blog 10 years ago...
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:27pm
WR:

according to Wikipedia, Sparky on this recording is voiced by June Foray, who mostly known for voicing Rocky the Flying Squirrel.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:30pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Aha, thanks for looking that up. Billy May is the composer, conductor and maybe also the narrator.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm

I missed a sex opera?
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:55pm
Jan Turkenburg:

sort of, PK some kind of free jazz with a lot of moaning and screaming.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:56pm

Han, is that a typo on Anne's last name? doesn't match the album cover.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm

I stand corrected WT ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm

Nice to hear something other than Phil Spector produced songs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

About Anne Clark: this is miles from what I know her from out of the 80s - 'Our Darkness' and 'Heaven'. She seemed to have mellowed a lot. I found aforementioned songs always kind of angry and desperate.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:00pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Good to hear, Happymaan!
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:02pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, that's what I could relate to a lot in those days, PK
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:03pm

i didn't know of Anne Clark. There is a bandcamp page with many of her releases. this link is to the album with Psalm.

and now I've mellowed myself in a way ... and can still relate to her work.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:04pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

Yes, Jan, me too, but I didn't know she mellowed along with the rest of us. (-:
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:08pm

If you look for Stichting Onbenul on youtube, you'll find they have evolved :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm

Hopefully they invested in more microphones! (-;

Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:31pm

Yes, your country seems more firm about it, while here there is the traditional hesitation and endless discussions
Avatar 1:33pm
zivilars:

well, we were quite the role model in the beginning, but judging by our recent numbers, we don't have anything to be proud about anymore when it comes to our pandemie management ... mistakes were definitely made.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:34pm
Jan Turkenburg:

each country made its own mistakes, I believe
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:36pm
