Gβday to ya!
6:29 pm here in Boonton, NJ
With my daughter Adelaide enjoying some online friend time in the background.
Interesting to be a 10 year old in a time of Covid.

How are thing going in your area of NJ?
Iβm really glad itβs not apocalyptic outside.
I have 2 very good friends:
1 in Auburn, AL
1 in Savanna, GA
And an excellent brother in Columbia, SC
The storms down there have been giant hail, spontaneous lightning strikes, tornadoes, and of course, a ton of rain. It looked like it was heading right for us, but then, of course the snow storm heading from west to east across the top of the country stole some of its mojo.

I just bought a bunch very cheap as my 41 year old skin was breaking out a lot, and my medical mom recommended it as it is antibacterial.
Surprisingly, it worked really well, although it does dry out the skin a bit so you got to do most guys never bother to do and lotion up afterwards.
perhaps a bit too much or an over share, but true story.

I was really looking forward to building my burgeoning vinyl collection at the WFMU record fair this year and last year, but alas it has been waylaid once again.
Looks like I will have to make a sojourn down to Princeton at some point or see if I can sniff out some good north New Jersey record shops that still exist.

I do my best to make people laugh.
Iβve been a high school teacher for about 17 years and humor is the best way to make the reading and writing for (16 and 17 year olds) classes go down.

Sadly, and somewhat weirdly, or maybe itβs awesome, but at least where I live in Northern New Jersey, you are much better paid as a 17 year high school teacher then you would be if you were a college professor.
I guess thatβs not too surprising since I live in one of the few states that actually pays teachers well.
My brother started his attempt to teach down in South Carolina about 10 years after me with the exact same qualifications.
However, 10 years after I had been teaching he started out making $10,000 less than me when I started 10 years previous.
That seems like a crime!
I guess thatβs what local funding gets you!
