What movie is that talkover gif from? Trying to place it, starred the gif from a previous Duggy show. It's a seamless gif, reels always in loop mode.

Hi Otis, again I don't know. Sometimes I go in tumblr addict mode and swipe 100 gifs a minute for hours, without reading. I'm glad I can put them to any use at all.

I figured, it's a grab bag out there of a billion fun gifs. If anybody knows the film, just curious. Moreover, love the way the gif is in a perfect loop of starting/stopping the reels, a fav.

Franco Twinkie:

Hi Jan! My mom gave me Their Satanic Majesties Requests for Christmas in 1967. We played it in rotation with Forever Changes by Love and Strange Days by The Doors constantly the rest of our holiday from school the rest of that year. That Stones record fell into disfavor for many years, and was routinely dismissed by people who presumed to know something about music. I for one am glad that it is finally getting the recognition it deserves as a unique diversion in the Rolling Stone oeuvre.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:53pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Franco! I can relate to that!
Avatar 12:54pm
Mr Fab:

Right on, Franco! Some of my faves on that one, plus the bitchen 3-d cover. Never understood why white Brits ripping off the blues was more legit than trippy psych...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm
Franco Twinkie:

Fab, you are so right!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm
Mx. Granny (e/em):

confession: I've never listened to that album, nor any RS album other than Some Girls, which I bought as one of my first record purchases when I was a wee kid. Homework!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm
Mx. Granny (e/em):

I think I liked the record cover
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm
Franco Twinkie:

Some Girls is a great way to get started!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm
Mx. Granny (e/em):

omx, I drew faces in the cut out section of the cover. I totally need to photograph that and make it my avatar image. Shattered is one of my karaoke go-to's!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm
Franco Twinkie:

Yup!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00pm
Little Danny:

I never noticed how much "More" and "Telstar" kinda share a melody.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm
Franco Twinkie:

Hi Danny!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm
Otis:

I have been lambasted over fires for proclaming proudly that Satanic Majesties is my favorite Stones album. Meh, in the same right, I often point to Leonard Nimoy's 5th album or Mrs. Miller's 4th as crowning achievements, so whadda I know.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm
Otis:

Hey ya Franco & Granny!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm
Mx. Granny (e/em):

wow, I sure do want to join the armed forces now!!!! (not)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm
Franco Twinkie:

Otis, this conversation about what both taste makers and no-nothings decree is worth exploring.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:23pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Agree, after all music is just moving air.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24pm
Franco Twinkie:

That said, we all know that moving air can carry deadly germs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25pm
Otis:

And moves waves in different ways.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm
Franco Twinkie:

Yes! Good one HyperDose.
Avatar 1:29pm
HyperDose:

This is like a mix of MC Chris and Asher Roth. Very cool!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm
Feldpausch:

Jan, love the idea music is moving air. The age-old question "when a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it, does it make a sound? NO. It makes vibration. It tales an ear canal to receive 'sound'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm
Franco Twinkie:

Since music is ubiquitous, and more so for this crowd that the general population I suspect, it needs to be examined in terms that go beyond I like this, don't like that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm
Feldpausch:

And playing a violin is only scraping a cat's entrails with horsehair.
Avatar 1:36pm
HyperDose:

So violins and haggis are basically cousins
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:37pm
Jan Turkenburg:

LOL, Hyperdose!

Otis:

Always nice to hear Chenard mixing it up!
