Haven't heard Banana Republic for years!👍😎
Avatar 3:59am
Jeremiah:

This show tends to be a lot of that haha
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03am
fred:

The band name "les 3615" references a text-based pre-internet system that was widely used in France (it was called minitel). To connect to a "site", you'd use 3615 followed by a name.
Avatar 4:07am
Jeremiah:

Oh I know minitel!
Avatar 4:08am
Jeremiah:

When I was there in like 2000 my gf’s parents still had one kicking around. Not sure it was functioning though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11am
Scott67:

Yeah same here Jeremiah. I was there in 2001 & my French girlfriend used it to buy train tickets and stuff.☎📟
Avatar 4:12am
Jeremiah:

Much Minitel knowledge in this crowd!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:14am
Scott67:

What am I saying!! 1991 is when I was there!!! My brain hurts!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:15am
fred:

Maybe more relevant to the record cover, there were many sex chat boards, with ads plastered everywhere which featured a woman's picture with 3615 followed by a female name.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:15am
Scott67:

I was quite impressed by it back then.👍😎
Avatar 4:17am
Jeremiah:

Ha! Yeah 1991 makes more sense. What do the numbers mean?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:21am
fred:

Lene Lovich? (lucky number)

wow, you've got us all talking in Papyrus now...loves it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:25am
fred:

3615 was the number you called (on a landline) to connect to the network, then you'd type the service name on the console
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:26am
Scott67:

G'day SV.👍😎
Avatar 4:26am
Jeremiah:

Ah I see. MOrning Vessels in Tel Aviv!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27am
Scott67:

G'day Fred, thanks for reminding me what it was called. I was just thinking about it the other day. But couldn't remember what it was called.👍😎

Not that anyone would deny any involvement with that particular program
Avatar 5:35am
Jeremiah:

When I came in a couple days ago they were playing one of those shows and I kept hearing my name and it was very confusing because no one has my name so I kept responding like someone was talking to me.
