	5:35pm Julie: It was really the records in the FMU library that got me exploring beyond the records I had (Bless his pointed, Crown of Creation & Worst of). There's also Volunteers not a huge known one, but we have the sleeve hanging on the volunteer room door (or did)

	5:36pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000: As a dumb 8-year-old I couldn't quite work it out how on earth a US band has a guitarist with a Finnish name (Jorma Kaukonen). I mean, it was understandable but very rare. Plus back then, I had not even heard Jefferson Airplane, but Hot Tuna of all things (Yellow Fever was in the local library, I actually bought the very same copy from them when they deleted it from their catalogue).

Yeah Townshend said Bowie was his Salvador Dali - which I parse as being Thee One for taking high concept stuff & making it work 101% as Rawk tunes & even Charting.

	♥ 5:43pm David (in London): I remember once reading a review of one of Bowie's Glass Spider era shows (admittedly not his, ahem, finest period), and the reviewer called him 'the dirt underneath Prince's fingernails', and I thought 'You fucking traitor. That will come back to haunt you one day.'

Anyone into Music was obliged to be on tenterhooks wondering why he would do with probly the broadest range of Talents as both Musician & Performer ...I still don't feel he did anything my heart considers indispensable. With Bowie - it's more of his stuff than not... Big Pharma killed Prince & Petty with f*cking fentanyl - when all they wanted to do was keep working !

	5:50pm Julie: Yes, Chris, that's right. My familiarity with Prince's massive catalog is small, but Purple Rain is very special to me. I think there is a "new" release coming or just came.

	5:52pm Julie: it is very, very hard to get appropriate pain medication. This is why I mostly use (legal and illegal) weed and save what few pills I have for emergencies where I need to function mentally.
	5:52pm Julie: I think there is a whole Prince produced Sheena album in the vault and I really want to hear it.

I mean, it was understandable but very rare. Plus back then, I had not even heard Jefferson Airplane, but Hot Tuna of all things (Yellow Fever was in the local library, I actually bought the very same copy from them when they deleted it from their catalogue).
