	🥁 5:13pm WR: Our neighborhood in Queens wasn't impacted much. I know from New Jersey to the Bronx some areas had flooding and some tragic loss of life. My brothers in NOLA have no power and there is the gasoline shortage but otherwise they got through ok. Many friends in NOLA I have not heard from yet, but expect they are OK too just roughing it with high temp and no AC.

	6:00pm prguitar: I'm not too surprised then Gina.. Sounds as if it was a plaster ceiling that came down, which means there was much water above.. If he is on the top floor, it's probably because the roof drains were clogged up, or they just couldn't handle all the water.. Essentially 7" of rain in a couple of hours.. I live on a top floor, and was really concerned about leaks, because a good deal of my record collection lives on the floor, amongst more than a few other precious belongings.. fortunately there was only a minor leak around one of the windows, which I managed to plug up before the water ran off the window sill. I've never seen anything like this storm in my life! So much great music this early evening Gina!! Giving thanks and praise!!

	6:31pm prguitar: How awful Gina.. basement apartments along with ground floors in NYC are a real liability. Many carry building code violations... insufficient means of egress... What happened in Queens where a kid was sleeping in a basement apartment when a fire started upstairs during the storm, and he couldn't be rescued, puts much of the hardship in perspective.. losing one's belongings compared to losing your life, or the residents of Louisiana sustaining incredible hardship when power is lost for days.. So much unprecedented uncertainty in the past two years for nearly everyone. Between climate change and the pandemic, our courage is constantly being challenged.. So thankful for music, sweet music as Jimi said..💙

	6:00pm prguitar: I'm not too surprised then Gina.. Sounds as if it was a plaster ceiling that came down, which means there was much water above.. If he is on the top floor, it's probably because the roof drains were clogged up, or they just couldn't handle all the water.. Essentially 7" of rain in a couple of hours.. I live on a top floor, and was really concerned about leaks, because a good deal of my record collection lives on the floor, amongst more than a few other precious belongings.. fortunately there was only a minor leak around one of the windows, which I managed to plug up before the water ran off the window sill. I've never seen anything like this storm in my life! So much great music this early evening Gina!! Giving thanks and praise!!

What happened in Queens where a kid was sleeping in a basement apartment when a fire started upstairs during the storm, and he couldn't be rescued, puts much of the hardship in perspective.. losing one's belongings compared to losing your life, or the residents of Louisiana sustaining incredible hardship when power is lost for days.. So much unprecedented uncertainty in the past two years for nearly everyone. Between climate change and the pandemic, our courage is constantly being challenged.. So thankful for music, sweet music as Jimi said..💙

After his first visit to the repair shop when Robben came to town, he always visited us... One time we had Percy Sledge playing in our repair shop boombox, and he asked who it was..
