Really depends on which year what it would be He started as a 'teenager star' and went through all the popular styles.

Wow, Wally Tax practically invented Hawkwind-like space-rock on that "Doctor" track. The man was so brilliant.

Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:27pm

Been doing some research in the meantime. The Zipps track was their first single, recorded in 1965.
Avatar 1:30pm
drolletje:

the word Aktetas wasn't invented until 1971...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm
MHLee:

I wasn't looking at chat and following expecting tas to be a cup like in German
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31pm
MHLee:

tasse from Turkish tas or something similiar
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:33pm
Jan Turkenburg:

I didn't know that. I do know it was confusing during my first visit to Antwerp that the Flemish were use our word for 'bag' for 'cup'. "Would you like a bag of coffee, sir?"
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:36pm
Jan Turkenburg:

In German cup is also 'tasse'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm
MHLee:

Yes but it's from turkish, not sure what the german root for cup is
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:37pm
Jan Turkenburg:

So in general 'tas' is something that contains something, I guess
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:38pm
Jan Turkenburg:

or it's pure coincedence
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm
MHLee:

tazza is cup in Italian from Arabic
Avatar 1:40pm
drolletje:

tasse is French for cup as well, isn't it?
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:40pm
Jan Turkenburg:

In dutch cup is 'kop' which is also a not so polite word for 'head' or for the head of an animal, (except horses)
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:40pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, that's right Darryl
Avatar 1:41pm
drolletje:

That Kop must be related to the German Kopf
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm
MHLee:

I imagine Kop and Cup are related
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm
MHLee:

Interesting wiktionary says it comes from latin
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:43pm
MHLee:

en.wiktionary.org...
Avatar 1:43pm
drolletje:

It's also Afrikaans for head... that's where 'the kop' at Liverpool's Anfield stadium comes from
