As I pointed out in the last Three Chord Monte, the "Little Sister" Lou wrote and sang in "Get Crazy" is different from the "Little Sister" Lou and John Cale wrote for Nico's "Chelsea Girl" album.

Don't know if this will come up in the interview, but Arkush directed an episode of St. Elsewhere that included a reference to The Ramones. The producers didn't want to pay for the original recording, so Arkush had to use a soundalike.

I just watching a documentary about the Monkees on YouTube (I forget the title). But someone (maybe Davy?) said that they'd been assigned the wrong instruments. Davy actually knew how to pay drums, but he was too short to be hidden behind a fun kit. Peter played guitar better than Mike, and Mike posted bass better than Peter. And Mickey could sing, but couldn't actually play anything.

But I guess they eventually learned their fake roles.

Corman's The Undead was filmed in a vacant supermarket! When i was at film school, we actually got into the long-abandoned Fillmore East to film sequences for a thesis we did. When NYC was the ultimate backlot huh! My Dad Sonny Vento was in On The Waterfront, The Wrong Man and The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms just working as a NYC Longshoreman, so lots of stories i had growing up. So great to hear Allan tell his history...fabulous show!!

I first saw RNRHS on satellite TV in Honduras in 1980 with an aunt of mine who's pretty prim and devoutly Catholic.
