been digitizing various LPs that belonged to my mom....and dad (both recently deceased). Gonna share the files with all my siblings...now digitizing "the Stripper" by the Boston Baked Beans....cheesy instrumental ragtime....saxophone wailing on every track...hilarious stuff...lol....
Yod sorry to hear about your Mom & Dad - mine too are gone -- but my Dad lived for his music (diffferent generation of course he was 87 in 2004) Mom made it to 99 - 2013 - so I'm the Baby Boomer with the 60'sw tines. Got love of music from my Dad.
Mom Whig: Got my start listening to music from my mom...she brought home "The Best of 66" on Columbia Records for all of us to listen to...that had Bob Dylan, Paul Revere on it as well as the Cyrcle doing Red Rubber Ball! And she also brought home Peter Paul and Mary's "In Concert" a double LP. As I got little older, she gave me my first 45s: Tears of a Clown by Smokey Robinson as well as "Timothy" by the Bouys! I'm unfortunately heading out now....Bunny, that was another great show!!! See you on the flip side!
