	3:37pm McGroovey: BJM sounded exactly like BJM last night. Over and over and over, for two hours. There are definitely worse things you could sound like for two hours, over and over, of course. And Mercury Rev sounded like Mercury Rev over and over, but only for an hour. I love Mercury Rev's first album, but I've really never heard anything else by them. But I'm guessing the other albums sound like the first one. They also did a cover of a Flaming Lips song, which sounded like a Mercury Rev song. Or (truth be told) Mercury Rev sounds more than a little like the Flaming Lips.

	4:37pm McGroovey: After the Fuse album, Fuse kinda merged with the post-Rundgren Nazz. They were sometimes billed as the Nazz, sometimes as Fuse. That band evolved into Sick Man of Europe and then Cheap trick. Obviously, there are no Nazz guys left by the time they were Cheap Trick. I'm done now.

	4:42pm McGroovey: Mercury Rev did sound great, but every song sounded the same, and I forgot each song as soon as it ended. So, in my opinion, Scott, if you fill your head with the three songs you heard, and stretch them out to an hour, you'll have the whole set. Same is true for BJM, for those who left early. Don't get me wrong: I enjoyed the show, but neither band has much variety in their material. I'd get bored playing in either band.

And Mercury Rev sounded like Mercury Rev over and over, but only for an hour. I love Mercury Rev's first album, but I've really never heard anything else by them. But I'm guessing the other albums sound like the first one. They also did a cover of a Flaming Lips song, which sounded like a Mercury Rev song. Or (truth be told) Mercury Rev sounds more than a little like the Flaming Lips.

So, in my opinion, Scott, if you fill your head with the three songs you heard, and stretch them out to an hour, you'll have the whole set. Same is true for BJM, for those who left early. Don't get me wrong: I enjoyed the show, but neither band has much variety in their material. I'd get bored playing in either band.
