	2:44pm Rich in Washington: So, just the other day was clued into a strange record phenomenon I was previously unaware of: high school records. Just ambient recordings of a given high school. The guy who introduced me to it says it's mainly a Southern thing, and the high schools put them out as a kind of souvenir to graduating students. So weird. I am thinking of borrowing a few from him and ripping them. Ever hear of this?

	3:35pm chresti: Hy HyperD, I noticed a similar shortage with chocolate flavored milks in the past. Not sure if it's the source of chocolate issue or something else.
	3:35pm Rich in Washington: I love CDs. I think my office might let me have our CD mass duper. We haven't had to crank out CDRs or DVDRs in several years (usually my job). In fact, no one in the entire office has any kind of optical drive whatsoever.

	3:40pm Rich in Washington: I was sort of inspired by that CD label Creel Pone. I was going to put out a series called Sounds Of American Kooks on my fake label Unabom Records. I did create tiny handfuls of them on the sly at work and distributed them to KBOO DJs, etc.
	3:41pm HyperDose: I found it better to buy an external DVD writer and velcro it to the top of the PC case. The cheap internal tower units are dust havens.
	3:42pm Rich in Washington: That's what I have here at home. Just an external which I switch out as it wears out. The units are still fairly cheap. I still create a fair amount of CDs out of convenience.
