I'm almost home, my birthday started at 3:00 a.m. having a stink bug in my eye when I went to grab it it exploded and let it go all over my eye. It was one of the most itchiest painful things to ever happen to my eye. After spending the half hour of washing my eye I still couldn't fall back asleep. It was terrible 10 out of 10 don't recommend a stink bug juice in the eye. Work was okay I'm just about home. Hopefully things start looking better! I should see Charlotte soon.

@abbazabba

It was my fault. I was just making an assessment that Radiohead were just as ambitious a band as Spritualized, yet they never quite reached the pinnacle that the latter group achieved. Mind you, I'm a Radiohead fan myself and have long been listening to their work with constant awe over the sheer depth of what they've accomplished so far.

I think around '97 or so Spiritualized opened for Radiohead at one of the big midtown concert halls (Radio City Music Hall?). I regretted not going to that. I have never had the chance to se Spiritualized live, but from what I have seen on YouTube, they are amazing. I did see Radiohead a few times and found them underwhelming as a live band. I love some (but not all) of their albums though.

Stinkbug juice in the eye sounds terrible. I can take or leave RadioHead, I lump them in with Pink Floyd, another very successful almost-prog rock band that got extremely famous. I'm kind of tired of Pink Floyd, listened to them too much in the 80's and Radiohead too much in the early 2000's. I'm just kind over it and like exciting new bands from WFMU like Laddio Bollocko et al.

Suffered an on-the-job stabbing, did you? I can relate. Happened to me, too. Never saw it (or felt it) coming. The warehouse I worked at at the time never called me back again. Scott, one thing I love about your show is that you strike a balance between forgotten deep pop cuts and world/prog/college radio music. I like the fact your show is a bit more serious than Ken's show which is a bit too jokey for me with the novelty music he plays. Still, his show is great, but I appreciate that your show is about musicianship over everything else, IMHO.
