	🥁 10:34am Doug Schulkind: I can pinpoint the exact moment, in the fall of 1980, when my mother stopped listening to my radio show. I was playing a gloriously wailing duet of the Indian nadaswaram. Breathtaking sounds, but, admittedly a challenge to listen to. My parents were visiting me at college and stayed back in my dorm room when I headed over to the campus station for my shift. My roommate later reported to me later that my mother turned off the radio. Not sure if, during her remaining 36 years, she ever turned it back on.

	🥁 10:34am Doug Schulkind: I can pinpoint the exact moment, in the fall of 1980, when my mother stopped listening to my radio show. I was playing a gloriously wailing duet of the Indian nadaswaram. Breathtaking sounds, but, admittedly a challenge to listen to. My parents were visiting me at college and stayed back in my dorm room when I headed over to the campus station for my shift. My roommate later reported to me later that my mother turned off the radio. Not sure if, during her remaining 36 years, she ever turned it back on.
