	5:33pm Fatherflot: KM: I feel the same way. I did almost 100 episodes on Mixcloud before I got here. I barely heard anything from listeners, but just kept plugging away because it made me happy to do it. Here it's a whole different dynamic --- amazing feedback. Gratifying, to be sure, but it's also like "Oh my god, people are actually listening --- better make sure every show is absolutely the best it can be every single time."

	5:43pm Eric R: There was (maybe still is) a fantastic show on KPOO in the Bay Area, called "Grinder's Grooveyard" and that's where I started loving these doowops. F2, I bet you're right about that!
	5:44pm Fatherflot: KM - I think of Doo Wop as the blues of the north. NY rock of the 60s is totally infused with it and it leads to a very different sound than southern blues.

	6:31pm myron feld: F2: you're right, Don K. Reed had the Doo Wop Shop. Gus Gossert's show preceded that one on CBS-FM by a few years -- now I can't think of the name, or if it even had one. Then Gus went to PIX (I think) and eventually met an unfortunate end in the mid-70s.
