The Perplexiterium is a show dedicated to the celebration--not necessarily the degradation, of the edgy; the comic; the bizarre and the wonderfully esoteric!

Really? It ain't grape? πŸ˜‚

Sarcofiguy:

@WR: Oh, there's a whole MESS O' stuff from Raphael Saadiq. Lucy Pearl being one of his projects. The first album of that was wonderful!

Oh that was a fun episode Sarcofiguy... I had polka never dies lying around and decided I needed to write a show around that
Avatar 5:11pm
Mr Fab:

yeah, that was a jam.

JB! Seeing James (twice) was an honor and a privilege. The man leads a band like a musician playing an instrument.
Avatar 5:12pm
Sarcofiguy:

@FAB: JEALOUS of you, as per usual!!!!!
Avatar 5:14pm

@Fab Seeing them try and take him away with the robe must be the coolest thing your eyeballs will ever witness

Mr Fab:

They were such lame gigs, too - on a stage set up in a parking lot for a city-sponsored food festival. Everyone walking around with free food samples. Why wasn't he headlining a stadium?! Esp. as this was early '90s and everyone was sampling him. But he went out and gave it everything he had. And yes, HD, he still had that guy you hear on the old live albums as his announcer and doing the cape bit. Truly the "hardest working man."

Mr Fab:

KILLER duet there from Diana & Marvin, didn't know that one.
Avatar 5:29pm
Sarcofiguy:

@FAB: It was a Momma Sarcofiguy favorite, and, of course, one of mine. The whole album is pretty kewl too!
Avatar 5:29pm
Sarcofiguy:

@FAB: I first heard the duet on 8 track!!!!!
Avatar 5:32pm
Mr Fab:

Hey, those 8-tracks had great sound! Songs just couldn't go on too long, or they'd fade down, there'd be that "ka-THUMP" sound, and fade back up again.
Avatar 5:34pm
Sarcofiguy:

@FAB: I had those KA-THUMPs timed just right for when I wanted to hear another of my favorite songs on another track! HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Avatar 5:34pm
Sarcofiguy:

God how I missed having those mini-8 track players. And having one in the family car when I was a kid!
Avatar 5:37pm
Sarcofiguy:

@FAB: When I was a kid, my brother-in-law actually had a record player in his car. Lord knows how that was on the road!!!!!
Avatar 5:39pm
HyperDose:

From horror host to R&B host. "Because every bad boy, still has a soft side"
Avatar 5:40pm
Mr Fab:

a record player in his car?! Amazing. Apart from the bumps, imagine flipping thu records and putting them on while you're driving. And don't leave 'em in the car when it's a hot day! You'll have a pool of liquid music oozing all over your rich Corinthian leather.
Avatar 5:41pm
Sarcofiguy:

@HYPER: ABsoolOOOTYLY!
Avatar 5:43pm
Sarcofiguy:

@FAB: I think it was a speak and spell sorta thing. "Solidly built" arm fixed into the lid. I'm not sure about what they did the summer time, tho! But I agree with you and the meltage!
Avatar 5:43pm
HyperDose:

A mini disc could also be a 45 in a protective enclosure. Still smaller than an LP so you could keep the name.
Avatar 5:44pm
Sarcofiguy:

@HYPER: You know what I miss? LASER DISCS.
Avatar 5:46pm

Watched one in science class once. It was time lapse footage of a fox corpse rotting. Very interesting!

Sarcofiguy:

@PAULY: Hellooooo! WELCOME!
Avatar 5:49pm
Sarcofiguy:

@HYPER: Have you ever seen Peter Greenaway's movie, "Two Zeds and a Naught?" There's a scene similar to what you just described in it. But, my favorite of Greenaway's is COOK, THIEF, WIFE AND HIS LOVER. Oh, and PROSPERO'S BOOKS.
Avatar 5:50pm
Sarcofiguy:

@HYPER: Wait--! "One Zed and 2 Naughts," which spells ZOO. Sorry for the mispelling!
Avatar 5:52pm
HyperDose:

Found it. Looks creepy in a Coen brothers way
Avatar 5:55pm
Sarcofiguy:

@HYPER: I'd describe GREENAWAYS work as elegant grotesquery! For instance, you've got to see his movie with Ewan McGregor, PILLOW BOOK. That's a beautiful, and disturbing piece of cinema. A must see.
Avatar 5:56pm
Mr Fab:

ever hear Ray Charles singing Kermit's "Bein' Green"? it is a real thing!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56pm

I've been playing with an ai during this show and listening in
Avatar 5:57pm
Sarcofiguy:

@FAB: Maybe?!!! I'm sure it would've been better if Al Green had sung it!

Thanks for the recs and music, Doc!
