And she was. She'd fallen down an escalator that afternoon and had spent most of the day in A&E, but she was still absolutely incredible. Her voice is a like crystal.

Nobody should have to fear putting their family in debt while literally on their deathbed. And fuck the cost of even basic funeary services.

And the neighbor that went to collect her stuff when she passed noted that while the staff wasn't crass enough to steal her phone and smart watch, a bunch of other small shit was gone.

Method: Put about 6 scoops into bag, tie shut with kitchen string. Fill jar with cold water, put bag in, lid on jar. Into the fridge overnight. Next AM, squeeze all the goodness out of the muslin bag and then untie and toss grounds. You'll have totally smooth, clear coffee.

Basically, put the coffee into the filter and then bunch it up like a giant dumpling and tie it with kitchen string. Same effect, just a bit more fragile. I used plain old generic basket drip liners for this for years. Enjoy!

Our next door neighbors just adopted a rescued pitbull that had served as a bait dog at a dog fighting camp. The fighting camp had removed most of his teeth and cut his vocal cords. Utterly disgusting. Somehow, he's one of the sweetest dogs I ever met.

One is half Jack Russell, half chihuahua, and the other is half Pomeranian, half chihuahua, and they set each other off in a barking frenzy at the slightest sound. The Jack Russell/chihuahua mix is our own damn fault because we felt sorry for her and adopted her, the other we inherited because a family member couldn't take care of her. When my wife and I were driving back from our somewhat extended vacation, I told my wife I did not miss the dogs at all, and she kind of agreed

	🛎 ♥ 2:25pm Handy Haversack: We have been lucky and not had barkers. Bagpipe barks unbelievably rarely -- pretty much only when I get him really riled with the dog wrasslin. And a very occasional quiet "whuf!" if he hears something in the hall he doesn't recognize. Stumpy was the same, at least until he started going deaf and was banned from the nice bodega (early signs of gentrification!). He did not appreciate being tied up outside and far away from the deli counter, and he let us know.

And she was. She'd fallen down an escalator that afternoon and had spent most of the day in A&E, but she was still absolutely incredible. Her voice is a like crystal.

Method: Put about 6 scoops into bag, tie shut with kitchen string. Fill jar with cold water, put bag in, lid on jar. Into the fridge overnight. Next AM, squeeze all the goodness out of the muslin bag and then untie and toss grounds. You'll have totally smooth, clear coffee.

Basically, put the coffee into the filter and then bunch it up like a giant dumpling and tie it with kitchen string. Same effect, just a bit more fragile. I used plain old generic basket drip liners for this for years. Enjoy!

One is half Jack Russell, half chihuahua, and the other is half Pomeranian, half chihuahua, and they set each other off in a barking frenzy at the slightest sound. The Jack Russell/chihuahua mix is our own damn fault because we felt sorry for her and adopted her, the other we inherited because a family member couldn't take care of her. And a very occasional quiet "whuf!" if he hears something in the hall he doesn't recognize. Stumpy was the same, at least until he started going deaf and was banned from the nice bodega (early signs of gentrification!). He did not appreciate being tied up outside and far away from the deli counter, and he let us know.
