Had the lungs & the feeling alright.
Read a thing a member of HoodooGurus said he met Judith once - & she had presence like people say the DalaiLama has, is how he put it. Like no one else he'd ever met. & also that she was totally warm & kind.

The illustration for that UK "The Man Who Sold The World" album is an eyesore. I understand why the American edition didn't use it.

@David agreed it is hideous. But the reissue has a nice gatefold.

Yeah, she died in 2013. I guess she was heavily involved in some sort of feminist witch movement. She was quite a character I hear.... more Glenda than evil

@MHLee:
You mean Glinda, not Glenda. The only real person I know who called herself Glinda was Monster Magnet frontman Dave Wyndorf's first wife. She did the lightshows for the band's earliest shows.
Avatar 11:22pm
Julie:

yes right! with an I Glinda
Avatar 11:22pm

although the movie Glen or Glinda would be rad

Know an early Sweets cover of 'Paperback Writer' (good) - but didn't know they had a phase that un-PowerPopish...
Avatar 11:33pm

That Jean Shrimpton picture atop reminds me I've never seen the movie "Privilege". I wish I could see that film without splurging on the DVD.
Avatar 11:33pm
Julie:

yeah! really different sound for them!
Avatar 11:34pm
Julie:

oooh I didn't know she did a movie! I did see Karen Gillan play her in one though
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35pm

No Paul on this one - they spin it like he wasn't acidified enuff yet & there was a rift - so George Bass...
Avatar 11:35pm

I did not know that!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:36pm

I don't know if the Peter Fonda trip that inspired that Beatles track was more pleasant than the one depicted in the cemetery scene from "Easy Rider".
Avatar 11:41pm
Julie:

ah peter
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:48pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Well real parity there I think ...actually in L.A. - the Beatles 2nd trip & 1st voluntary - Peter was trying to ease someone's trip from being anxious he reported ...he'd almost died in an accident as a kid was saying it's no big deal & he had scars to show ...wrong messaging apparently ...in Easy Rider - it's about his mother's suicide. Which is interesting considering that both losing their mother's is such a huge subtext for John & Paul...
