In my head, I had wrongly thought that Live in Seattle was recorded after Meditations, but Live in Seattle was recorded 1965-09-30, Meditations was recorded 1965-11-23 (Wikipedia Coltrane Discog dates). That is just a reset I needed to properly approach Meditations. And relevant specifically to me because Live in Seattle was my entre into the work of Coltrane.
