I saw an Etron Fou Leloublan show in 1983 in the empty basement of a closed-down department store in Allentown, PA. They were amazing, the venue was bizarre, which was probably a good thing.

I saw them around that time in Lancaster. I was in high school and did not know what to make of them. Freaked me out. They played with the stickmen (from philly).

I don't remember the exact story, but Darryl Hall (of Hall & Oates) was the primary vocalist on this album but his label didn't like it, so Peter Hammill ended up doing vocals on most of the songs. You get both versions on the CD reissue.

Has anyone mentioned the Benjamin Piekut book on Henry Cow yet? Okay, now I did. "Henry Cow: The World Is A Problem." It is a heavy tome supplying everything from academic sociopolitical analysis to dirty laundry. I enjoyed it. Pretty much everything I ever wanted to know and a few things I didn't.

Yes always wanted to squeeze as much variety as possible in. Look at all the moods and genres this song is patched together from. Recall the closing guitar solo at the very end of Tales that goes through every key. And the circle of fifths thing through every key that shows up in Awaken.
