Wherever everyone is! I'll be leaving in a little over an hour to head to the cabin and do a little more assembly. This coming week the plumber is supposed to come and install hot water, toilet and shower so I might be able to start spending the night there now and then next weekend.
Avatar 3:25am
Don in Tampere:

But with pretty good 4G coverage in Finland, I might be able to listen to the rst of Currents on the way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28am

Good luck with that, Don. Sounds lovely. As for everyone else, it is quiet...

Was Bolsonaro granted asylum here? Why is DeSatan not putting Bolsonaro's illegal ass on a plane back where he came from?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40am

No asylum as far as I know.
Avatar 3:45am
Don in Tampere:

I thought asylum was a federal-level decision anyway.

I'm reading that right now too. Completely different in style to anything else I've read by him, but very interesting.

Why do I find the term "busking" slightly nauseating?
Avatar 3:51am
Roberto:

Isn't it great when people loudly and publicly announce whom they work for while committing acts that might cause them to lose their jobs?
  3:52am
Chris Crisco:

Exactly so Bolsonaro is just another illegal immigrant then. DeSatan should be putting his ass on a plane like he does with other asylum seekers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:52am

Sorry for using "busking," Roberto. My personal off-putting term is "curating."

What!? Geist is hard to translated, but is basically mind (_nous_ in ancient Greek) and Seele (_psyche_ in Gk.) is soul. But Geist has a broader spectrum, stretching also to spirit, as in Holy Spirit. Then there's the Geisteswissenschaften (lit. the sciences of mind), which are what we call the humanities. Soul can also be Gemüt, which is more the seat of feeling.

I'd say dirty pennies comes closest. Dirty pennies from an old Newark factory that used to process benzene, or soap, or Agent Orange, or all three.
