There's (part of?) a 2001 Roxy Music show on YouTube, with Both Ends Burning featuring solos by both Manzanera and Spedding. Spedding outshines Manzanera on those solos. You get to hear Beck playing more on those instrumental records. He doesn't have to wait for the singer to be quiet. He sings all the verses and choruses on the guitar. It's not really jazz. People think of it as jazz, because there's no singer (usually), and some of the players are jazz players.
