Aw Ms Wing it's so sad. "Business suffered during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Grand Prospect Hall closed in March 2020. Two months later, on May 6, Michael Halkias died at the age of 82 due to complications from COVID-19. In June 2020, the building was sold, along with eleven other adjacent properties, to contractor Angelo Rigas for $30 million."
There's more info in wikipedia but long story short despite a petition and an injunction the demolition was finished last year.

Archy and Mehitabel was a collection of poems written by Archy the cockroach, ghost written by Don Marquis who was a journalist. I guess they were quite popular since they made a musical out of it. George Herriman, the comic artist who created Krazy Kat, illustrated the poems and maybe designed the sets and such for the musical? Nice to hear this funny stuff.

Mary i turned away during the original -sorry! it's not *bad*, but it's not very good. (in my opinion, obviously)
never heard it before but not surprised... never thought Betts was quite up to the very high level of most of the other members of the Allman brothers band (the real one -when Duane was alive)
so i missed Tanya, unfortunately; but Gary Stewart's version is also good, i think.

When I got on my bike in the village, it started doing that thing where it's snowing in some better place up above, but blattering nastily here down below.
