It doesn't actually HAVE to taste the same, as long as it tastyes good. I like some vegiburgers and veggie dogs that would never fool anyone, but they have their own nice taste.

	9:29pm Listener Gregory: I heard Hamza El Din in concert in the 90s… I think with the Kronos Quartet (that part could be a fake memory). I was impressed at how much he could get out of a handheld frame drum. Unique performer, at least, in my experience.
	9:33pm Dean: I saw Hamza El Din at McCabe's Guitar Shop in LA, the perfect venue.
	9:35pm Dean: His record on Water Lily Acoustics features the frame drum. It is a scary realistic recording, one of the best I've ever heard.

	9:40pm Dean: "Kids" is almost right. I believe I first heard him--this album in its Nonesuch incarnation--in the mid-'70s, when we were binging on Yes and Genesis. We only had to play it once to know it was special. Yes, RevRab. I have the vinyl. Kavi Alexander, owner and engineer for WLA, resisted digital as best he could. He eventually had to succumb, and doing so gained him notoriety for the best-selling Ry Cooder/V.M. Bhatt record.

	9:29pm Listener Gregory: I heard Hamza El Din in concert in the 90s… I think with the Kronos Quartet (that part could be a fake memory). I was impressed at how much he could get out of a handheld frame drum. Unique performer, at least, in my experience.

	9:35pm Dean: His record on Water Lily Acoustics features the frame drum. It is a scary realistic recording, one of the best I've ever heard.

We only had to play it once to know it was special. Yes, RevRab. I have the vinyl. Kavi Alexander, owner and engineer for WLA, resisted digital as best he could. He eventually had to succumb, and doing so gained him notoriety for the best-selling Ry Cooder/V.M. Bhatt record.
