i was doubling the levels during the mic breaks before -which isn't uncommon; but for the last one i had to quadruple the levels to just about maxed. there was a significant change from one mic break to the next.
(then when the music came on again it blasted me out!)

Dave Sewelson's show on saturdays is a rollercoaster! often his guests are really loud and he's almost inaudible; sometimes the other way 'round. that's much worse than just a low mic level!
