Hello Roy Have been enjoying your show for a couple months since discovering it. Only now able to tune in. Love vintage Latin stuff especially.

vintage Latin? Howzabout old Mexican rocanrol? Was in Tijuana last weekend and bought some cool looking vintage rockers, like this one:

Leopard-print suits? they GOTTA be good!

Album covers in excellent frame-able condition too, not like that beat-up Discogs scan.

mr Fab. Thanks! I love that stuff, lots of great Latin rocknroll that should be more revered. Los Saicos. Los Yorks etc etc. . Just discovered a great 60s Colombian band called less interestingly Los Teenagers, but they wail! Along with great vintage cumbia, merengue, vallenatos etc, very very scare to find and ehen found prices are outrageous. I need to find a better source than ebay et al.

Yeah, even down in TJ they were $10 apiece. Which is not like Roy's dollar-bin discoveries, but still cheaper than online.

No trip to Honolulu was complete unless you saw Don Ho. Which Mrs Fab & I did on our honeymoon. then had a meet-and-greet with him later. He gave me a cassette!

He was a Polynesian version of a Dean Martin-like Rat Pack type character. Always encouraged cocktail drinking at his shows: "Suck 'em up!"

This is such a great story! I recently learned (well, an hour ago through wikipedia) that he switched from booze to pine apple juice at some point because of cardial problems.
