Live music from FRIDGE: Fridge are a trio from London, comprised of Kieran Hebden, Adem Ilhan, and Sam Jeffers. Formed in 1997, they've recently completed their first tour of the United States as headliners and in support of Low. They've made two stunning albums and a double-CD singles collection in the UK for Trevor Jackson's Output Recordings label, an excellent full-length for Go Beat, and most recently a new album self-released by the band in the UK and in the States on Temporary Residence Ltd. The members of Fridge exhibit a raw strain of musical ability and strong trio interplay to make some of the most challenging and impressive rock music since This Heat ground to a halt. In addition to their work as Fridge, the band has toured as the backing group for Badly Drawn Boy, and Kieran also performs as Four Tet, with releases on the Domino and Output labels. MOSUROCK is proud to welcome Fridge as a guest to the show. Visit Fridge online at http://www.brainwashed.com/fridge. Session recorded 10/17/01 in WFMU Studio B, Jersey City. Engineered by Chris Stubbs. Special thanks to Jeremy deVine, Jon Whitney, and Seth Hodes. |
