	2:35pm Krys O.: My dad was a machinist by trade and did some handyman work on the weekends. I would go with him to those Saturday jobs because Mom worked too and the older sibs weren't always around. Dad taught me a lot about home repairs.

In the meantime, she raised us five kids, plus two of the grandkids. My father also helped raised us changing diapers and cooking. I started working myself when I was 10 years old running errands for the seniors who lived in the building where my dad was the super. I walked dogs, took out garbage, swept and more. I should point out that both my parents did forced labor as teenagers under the Nazis during WWII.

I should point out that both my parents did forced labor as teenagers under the Nazis during WWII.
