January 15, 2024: Chapters In Tattoo History - Vyvyn Lazonga - Pioneer - Visionary - Tattooing Since 1972 - Interview - Episode # 142
My first featured guest is Vyvyn Lazonga! She has been tattooing since the 1970's and has a wonderful densely saturated colorful style, that for the most part, works with the contours of the human body. She is immensely talented, and works out of Seattle at Madame Lazonga's Tattoo. In addition to being the first woman in the US to open her own tattoo shop, she also was the first artist to start transformation work on mastectomy scars decades ago, and she continues to do a lot of that work today!
