On Dec. 2, 1972 I saw Mott open for the Mahavishnu Orchestra in Providence. Somebody threw a bottle at Mott. Ian jumped off stage and went after the guy, then finished the song and the band left. As I recall. I was 14.

I am LOVING your Show today!!! I learned how to play the guitar by listening to all of the glitter Bands. I would play Sweet Jane over and over, because is was easy to play. (“Thank You Ian Hunter!!)
I’m excited to hear Your interview with Ian Hunter. “Thank You Todd!!”Does he live here in NJ?….Since he has James Maestro in his band.)
Back in ‘73(?), I got to see Mott The Hoople at Seton Hall😁!! The opening band was a group called Aerosmith,a band that I never heard of!! It wasn’t too crowded, so I got to stand right in front of the Stage!! I got to see one of my favorite bands up close!! I have all of their records from back then. Many are scratched from placing the needle on the next part of the song to learn by ear… I can’t read music.
I almost got to see T-Rex at The Joint In The Woods in Montville. Didn’t get in because the Club was so close overcrowded and my friend and I were going to get our ribs broken from the crowd outside pushing to get in…. So we left.
