Hi Krys O ~ weeks ago I mentioned TCM and you banged out several secondary character actors
Eugene Pallette, Walter Connolly, Aline McMahon, Frank McHugh.
I didn't recognize their names, but once i saw their faces, I instantly knew who they were.
Eugene Pallette as the father of Carole Lombard and Gail Patrick in My Man Godfrey (what a cast!) and Walter Connolly as the father of Claudette Colbert in It Happened One Night.
I don't recognize Aline McMahon and Frank McHugh.

Speaking of idioms and weird language variants, a Brazilian friend once bought a table from a Portuguese guy, and asked if the legs of the table could be unscrewed for transport. The guy said "sure" and brought a saw, turned out the Brazilian phrase meant "saw off" in Portugal
