	1:09pm Mike Sin: ↳ Song: "overnight sensation" by "the raspberries" Back in 2005, 2006, I cruised to Atlantic City to see the Raspberries reunion at the Hard Rock or BB Kings or whatever club is down there. While getting a drink, the bartender said, “Hey, would you like to meet the band after the show?” My first thought of course was, “OK, here we go… what scam is this?” He ended up giving me “meet and greet” passes... I’m guessing the band didn’t sell enough of these and they club didn’t want the band doing the meet and greet to the same 10 people or such… I ended up meeting the band after the show, and Eric Carmen was quite charming, patient, and humorous. I talked with him for about 20 minutes, and he answered all of my full-on geeked out questions – from his early band to recording to gear to particular shows… It was great! I know on social media he turned into this Trump-loving, conspiracy-minded lunatic, and that sucked, but… I prefer to remember the time I met him, and the happiness I felt meeting the dude who provided music that has brough me endless joy!

While getting a drink, the bartender said, “Hey, would you like to meet the band after the show?” My first thought of course was, “OK, here we go… what scam is this?” He ended up giving me “meet and greet” passes... I’m guessing the band didn’t sell enough of these and they club didn’t want the band doing the meet and greet to the same 10 people or such… I ended up meeting the band after the show, and Eric Carmen was quite charming, patient, and humorous. I talked with him for about 20 minutes, and he answered all of my full-on geeked out questions – from his early band to recording to gear to particular shows… It was great! I know on social media he turned into this Trump-loving, conspiracy-minded lunatic, and that sucked, but… I prefer to remember the time I met him, and the happiness I felt meeting the dude who provided music that has brough me endless joy!
