Those versions of the songs Partridge produced for Blur's Moddern Life Is Rubbish (which the record company or band opted not to release) are pretty great. He was the perfect producer for those songs

↳ Song: "Borrowed Time" by "Richard & Linda Thompson"
wiki: "Richard had started to take an interest in Sufism, a mystical form of Islam, in 1973. After the tour, the couple went to a Sufi commune in East Anglia for six months, then to another in Maida Vale. Richard announced that he would never play again, but returned after three years. Linda found herself in a community where all the food was prepared by the women. In her words, the members were "white middle-class people trying to punish themselves, and everybody else. It taught me a lot. To stay away from sects, mostly."

Never really explored the Thompsons. Always respected and enjoyed their music, but I never knew where to Start.

You're welcome! He's one of my top 10 guitarists of all time. Just incredible player, always right on the money. If you can track down the BBC Fairport sessions 68-69 that stuff is gold. Recorded when they were transitioning to English folk Liege and Lief stuff, so plenty of US west coast covers (Joni Mitchelll, Merry Go Round, Gene Clark).
