pardon me for sitting during a one-night stand.

↳ Song: "Ghost Town" by "Bob Barth"
Was expecting The Specials, and was wondering: ooh, Bob does reggae? Nope, apparently, this is a other Ghost Town.

Oof. I got nailed for that when I lived in NYC. Driving to a gig in midtown wife called, & the coppers lit me up.

Hi BB. saw/read yer checking in with DJ🦊’s overnight show. Seemed she was understandably celebrating 4/20
= so her responses & chatfest usuals were a tad low-key
… she has mos def shared with us her “audience war stories” that play as both funny and traumatic simultaneously (only the way 🦊 pulls it off). - yet another truly unique WFMU family gem. Perplexing, Vulnerable & engrossing overnight Radio. Rare indeed.

wadaya tawkin' about?? dis is hi cinema!

Erik/VT:

Went to a provocative & fascinating Tracy Letts play last month - “THE MINUTES” (not sure when it was originally produced) but ima fan of the T Letts vibe (& his acting performances). Speaking of slumming - have you ever seen Letts’s adaptation with late William Friedkin directing ‘KILLER JOE’ (2012)? - trailer trash bumpy ride scene chewing acting heaven. Can’t imagine what it would be like seeing a live theatrical version (?!).

YES! With Michelle Williams!! crazy! I know...
  1:17am

Totally recall those 1970s radio pieces of edited together snippets (faux call & response). What a sense memory relapse … am I having Deja Vu or is it BB creating more time capsules … 👏 🙇 🙌👏

I do love my nostalgia. Even for times I wasn't around for!
  1:24am
Erik/VT:

KillerJoe 2012 :
Typically nutso Matthew Mc-Con-a-hey (sp 😉),
early-ish Juno Temple (whoa!), Gina Gershon (another whoa!), Emile Hirsch, & another great “knowing”performance by Thomas Haden Church - kinda under utilized imo.

Oh right. not MW

Erik/VT:

Re that Roxy Music Live version of their masterpiece Love is the Drug (derive from Viva Roxy? Or other?).
- noticing , you don’t seem to add “album or source” derivation. - would be a plus/bonus (just sayin’)🙏😊.

its from the album in the pic

I was chatting with some Welsh / Wales appreciators :
And we are wondering why MARINA & the Diamonds
(aka Marina Diamandis / Greek lineage) - i seriously don’t understand why she never made it “bigger” internationally … based on talent & certainly her appealing looks 😍 (Katy Perry meets Kate Bush vibes).
& what’s yer take on band CATATONIA (singer Cyrs Matthews - Smokey voices crusher 🤩😍)
  1:45am
Erik/VT:

voices = * voice’d *
Avatar 1:48am

I always like M & D but never dug in deep. CATATONIA I don't know at all.
