My moving horror story: the guys from the utility company didn't show up that day, the next day a huge storm knocked off power all around, so I was camping without power or hot water for more than a month, in December to boot (at least I had water). Good thing is that taught me to take cold showers (I only use hot water for laundry, dishes and shaving)

Being Black, I have absolutely no interest in what the white perspective is on Blackness because I know who I am, we are, and the history between our people, white people and your "observations". The world view of whiteness is limited based on your insular privilege and the history white people have carved out to center themselves historically and presently by blood, pilfering, and indoctrination. How could you see a world in me or any Black person when you don't see the world like anyone else around you who is non-white? What a white person thinks of me is none of my damn business.

It's also not my job to educate you especially since my people have done centuries of emotional labor for yours. I recommend reading "Why I'm No Longer Talking to White People About Race" or W.E.B Du Bois, "The Souls of Black Folk" and I only suggest that because I'm being really generous and gracious right now because I truly believe you don't know what you're saying.

How could you see a world in me or any Black person when you don't see the world like anyone else around you who is non-white? What a white person thinks of me is none of my damn business.

I recommend reading "Why I'm No Longer Talking to White People About Race" or W.E.B Du Bois, "The Souls of Black Folk" and I only suggest that because I'm being really generous and gracious right now because I truly believe you don't know what you're saying.
