Hello Jan, Krys, PK, Christianne and other Sheena streamers.

Jan, you may know today is an USA holiday, honoring those who died or otherwise sacrificed serving in USA military. For some a solemn day, for others a 3 day weekend to start off the summer. For me, a bit of rest and a bit of work and surely hope no interruptions to my listening.

Yes, would not expect you to do any Memorial Day related content. I thought I would mention it is a holiday here and the thought that if I mention I should point out the varied relationship people here have to it. No need for you to mention it in your program.

Although I have little knowledge of birds and no relationship to birds except disgust for the pidgeon shit that is all too common in NYC I do enjoy your bird call feature.

Curious to see if you ever get a listener to submit a recording of them doing a bird call.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm

Wow. Hummingbirds. We don't have them around here. Love to see them in the wild one day. Thoings here are all right. Me and the GF have become the proud owners of a nice little allotment to start and grow some flowers and greens. Yesterday we had our first day at the allotment.

↳ Song: "In The Hands Of Karma" by "The Electric Toilet"
On the other hand, I think this was intended to be serious, but I find it quite comic. A quick search to see about that, I find this info on Discogs: "Two members died in a car crash within months of its [the album] completion and the group broke up."

When I was a child, I occasionally saw hummingbirds around my grandmother's flower bed. I thought at first that I was seeing some huge insect.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

There was a nice big butterfly greenhouse in the nearest zoo here, and they also had hummingbirds there. I first thought they were some kind of exotic turbo-butterfly. Only later I saw they were hummingbirds.

We first need to clean up the plot. It has a huge overgrown redcurrant bush in the middle and we want to get rid of it. We both don't like the redcurrant, and we could use the space for some vegetables.

↳ Song: "Song For Theremin And Piano" by "Peter Pringle"
Wow, haven't thought of Peter Pringle in a long while. '98 to '05 or so there was a usenet group that moved to EGroups which was later bought by Yahoo, with a focus on Theremin. I was an appreciative fly on the wall. Pringle had a low tech web site and from time to time would share a link to his newest Theremin piece. Likely that evolved into a youtube acct.

Yes! And in the song the singer thrives by the love and gets back his confidence and good looks. And then she leaves him, so he gets depressed and ugly and sad again. So she can love him again.
