The Art Zoyd mega–live performance this track was culled from wasn't 24 hours long (guess I got carried away there) -- but it was still an impressive 12 hours.

The re-recorded 1981 version of Art Zoyd's "Symphonie pour le jour où brûleront les cités" is a real masterpiece, IMO. www.discogs.com...

Re-recorded and then released in 1981? Or re-recorded since that time? E.g., the 2011 Belgian reissue appears to be an early recording, but reissued.

Rerecorded and then released in '81. The first version came out in 1976.

↳ Song: "Nallan Void (1987)" by "Ross Bolleter"
From Ross Bolleter wiki page: Over the past thirty years Bolleter has explored the timbral possibilities of ruined pianos, as quoted: old pianos that have been exposed to the elements of time and weather thus acquiring novel and unexpected musical possibilities. A piano is ruined (rather than neglected or devastated) when it has been abandoned to all weathers and has become a decaying box of unpredictable dongs, tonks and dedoomps. The notes that do not work are at least as interesting as those that do.
