	10:19pm Mr Fab: 12” was my fave format for a while in the ‘90s. So much golden age hip-hop, early electronica, oddball novelty one offs that didn’t require a full album. it was like 60s garage rock in that sense. Plus, 12 inches just had the best sound. And then all the instrumental and a cappella mixes inspired me to get into mashup and sound collages, and here I am. So, thank you 12 inch singles of the world!

So much golden age hip-hop, early electronica, oddball novelty one offs that didn’t require a full album. it was like 60s garage rock in that sense. Plus, 12 inches just had the best sound. And then all the instrumental and a cappella mixes inspired me to get into mashup and sound collages, and here I am. So, thank you 12 inch singles of the world!
