They approached him with the idea of $ compensation for this. He responded by pointing out that everyone spends a small fortune on each of their own products and they start decomposing from day one. Why are they any different? No. No money back. No repairs. You bought it. Take care of it. Ha ha. I loved that.

I walked away thinking how the gallery owner was having fits and pulling his hair out the whole time. I mean, the gallery was empty as is typical for this type of art. I hope they got some great photos.

	10:52am still b/p: Just tried to find a magazine cartoon (captionless) recalled from childhood of stereotypically dressed artist enthusiastically running straight at a large canvas, with examples of similarly created art around him in the studio. Didn't find it, but selections from a collection we had in the house, Best Cartoons of 1964, are instantly recognized and still permanently remembered so many decades after looking at them multiple times back then -- some come to mind randomly in my days.
