But the audiophile mantra has always been minimal miking (well placed, of course), no overdubbing/live in the studio, as they did in the golden age classical music recording, the 60's (RCA Living Stereo recordings, Mercury Living Presence LP's go for big bucks, at least the last time I checked).

People who were 5 years younger were part of the Doo Wop "generation" vs the Beatles. Same w late 80s/90s New Wave vs Grunge. Only a few year gap. When you hit puberty is the factor.

But the audiophile mantra has always been minimal miking (well placed, of course), no overdubbing/live in the studio, as they did in the golden age classical music recording, the 60's (RCA Living Stereo recordings, Mercury Living Presence LP's go for big bucks, at least the last time I checked).
