Hi Brian! Back from a trip to Mikkeli over Christmas, now working on getting over the Christmas cold/flu. Getting better now. I like cold and dry with plenty of snow but I'm not a fan of cold dark rain.

There was apparently an update on the UAE-registered Russian ghost boat that Finland impounded after it apparently destroyed data and electricity cables in the Baltic by dragging its anchor. There are now reports that they found espionage equipment on board.

One of my fave photographs of '24 is of Gaza protesters defending an occupied building at Columbia University, standing determined moments before being assaulted, arrested. April 31st. (I can't recall where I found it but I have it saved.) The looks on their faces is among the few things that gave me hope this year.

My good friend Joe Schrafnagel worked at the Strand many years back. He even got in an episode of “Absolutely Fabulous” that was filmed there! Sadly Joe passed away as well.
