There are several things that might indicate this song and/or its music video are about Jodi Arias murdering Travis Alexander in Arizona in 2008:
-The music video was released in 2011, 3 years after Alexander’s death and 2 years before Arias' conviction in 2013. The proceedings received national coverage and much social media attention.
-The music video shows a woman pushing a dying man from a car in a desert. Arizona is known for its deserts.
-The man in the music video has a gunshot wound in his head. Alexander was shot in the head.
-The line “cut ‘em in the bathroom”: Alexander was stabbed at least 27 times in his bathroom and had his throat slit.
-The woman in the music video is wielding a knife.
-“Sixteen six six six”: Alexander and Arias were 16 when they met; 666 indicates evil at work.
-“Have a heart, have a heart” may reference Alexander breaking up with Arias before his murder.
-Multiple scenes with blood in the music video.
