In the vein of unexpected treatments, on the radio the other day I heard a muzak-ish version of Alice's Restaurant. A kazoo was aboard for the latter part of it, but mostly it was by the generic elevator-music production book. Arlo should record a long song and narrative today reporting such instances and weighing in on the piece's legacy.

The Guardian, 2016:
"Funnily enough for a relatively modern cultivar, the boysenberry is often also thought of in the UK as a heritage crop, and was once widely cultivated here for the production of jams and jellies and turned into mass-market tinned pie fillings right up until the 1980s. It is still hugely popular in New Zealand, now the world’s largest producer, but has sadly seen a precipitous decline in both Britain and even its native North America."

Fallon is so over the top in love with EVERYONE. Ugh. I hope that like on the 25th Anniversary show, Lincoln is represented! Bill Murray as "Nick the lounge singer" did "In the Year 2525" on that show. Surprised it is not on youtube that I could find. I have on an old VHS tape somewhere.

I was working yesterday where someone used a laser level that was beaming and tilting multidirectionally as they adjusted and set it, and it reminded me of the simple laser show, same both times, that Yes had on tour when I saw their Boston appearances twice in about 76 and 77.
Now you could get yerself a couple of those laser levels, attach them to an upended unicycle wheel and dazzle your concert crowd!
