Always dug the Fuzztones. I always thought Rudi's croony signing voice (a la Sean Bonniwell) added a great distinct layer to their garage-rock approach.

The "final" show of the original line-up at the Peppermint Lounge (1985?) was quite exciting. I was young as the morning at the time so every gig I caught at the time was exciting as hell!

That was a very bizarre tour. I interviewed Michelle Shocked for a magazine profile durinng the tour. Her husband at the time seemed to be pulling a lot of the strings and causing a lot of tension. Bart Bull. Crazy I still remember that guy's name. He seemed to do all the talking for the couple...or at least most of it when both of them were in the room.

Sadly he was a diabetic, cheeseburger swilling, addict and like so many others it took him from the world.

i saw some dead shows that i wouldn't give anything to have be any different. some shows were blissfully great, some shows were not-so. they were always a reminder to me that WE ARE ALL HUMANS. and i will love jerry the musician forever.
