Listener comments!

Erik in VT:

Hiya BB, ⚠️this is a long winded one ⚠️:
My mom used to say “if you haven’t anything positive to contribute, perhaps you should reconsider sharing your opinion”… yet I sometimes feel that there is a time & a place for honestly sharing critical analysis amongst friends & or when someone has genuinely opened the door for discussion. Taste is almost always a subjective matter or frequency to tune into or vibe with.
Well, so here it goes: That being said,
I am often challenged by the “more popular”, “populist” or “past history commercial” artists that you feature.
I often listen thru because I’m curious if my opinions or preconceived notions or feelings abt some artists have changed over the years. That’s part of what I get a kick outta experiencing your show. Besides your obvious & beautiful passion and dedication to the live performing arts. Imo, All the interviews and exposure to your arts life is a gift to your listeners. So unlimited thank uze for all that effort and work and production accomplishments.
- perhaps some of the musical artists you feature are not what one would expect to hear via WFMU.

Evening Erik! Great to see you. I appreciate your kind words. I have as they say a broad pallet. And I'm perfectly happy with it.

That’s the way to go, & I wouldn’t (& haven’t) expected any other response … keep on the open & broad minded path = 👏👏👏.

Have you seen the wild & wooly (& imo surprisingly fantastic) Irish movie KNEECAP yet ?

Erik in VT:

- btw, where the heck is everybody?
- i was thinking there was a comments or posting glitch happening … (?!)

Oh heck yas👏! = KNEECAP is/was a stellar high quality cinematic experience
= positive musical creativity abounds and just a unique special film that is perhaps under the radar, even for “music-in-film” hipsters. I sawer it in a fun enthusiastic theater screening at Dartmouth.
One of the best surprise screenings of my past year+.

alright, good endorsement!

I’ve enjoyed both Barry Keoghan & Christopher Abbott in most anything I’ve seen em in. Barry is absolutely intense in the films I’ve seen - he’s bringing another level. So thanks for this unusual sounding film expo. Speaking of shepherding families & quarreling - have you experienced either version of the films “RAMS” = great darkly comedic stuff. 2015 original is Iceland 🇮🇸 & the 2020 remake is Australia 🇦🇺. - haven’t seen the Aussie version yet - but it sounds as if it’s well worth the remake!

I have watched a few of actor Barry K’s interviews & chats on the talk shows - he often brings sumpin special to the couch. Gotta appreciate that, when so many are sleepwalking thru these days. I think Colbert had a semi-recent good one.
