The Radio Is Broken is a three-hour spelunk through the canyons and fissures of humanity's collective unconscious. It sounds as if a field recording of the Culture Industry were a sonic juggernaut barreling down a rickety track—except that tunnel ahead is just painted onto a sheer cliff wall. With occasional forays into what might pass for "normal" music. Prerequisite journey: Cratedigger's Lung

Gov. JB Pritzker  How To Spot An Idiot   Favoriting YouTube    2025  “Empathy and compassion are evolved states of being. They require the mental capacity to step past our most primal urges. This may be a surprising assessment because somewhere along the way in the last few years, our society has come to believe that weaponized cruelty is part of some well-thought out Master plan.
Cruelty is seen by some as an adroit cudgel to gain power. Empathy and kindness are considered weak. Many important people look at the vulnerable only as rungs on a ladder to the top.
I’m here to tell you that when someone’s path through this world is marked with acts of cruelty, they have failed the first test of an advanced society.”

"That same year, Sabrina makes her film debut in Stock Car. It’s the first in a series of movies that showcase her lack of talent as an actress – though she does go on to achieve quasi-iconic status as Virginia in Blue Murder at St Trinian’s, despite (or perhaps because of) not having a single line to speak. But it’s early days and Sabrina’s acting shortcomings are not going to detract from her popularity. When she shows up to open a Sheffield hardware store in February 1956, 4,000 people turn out to see her, resulting in a massive traffic jam. When her dress strap breaks, a near-riot ensues."

I know! I saw it. It is good.
I'm a BIG Terry Pratchett fan. The book I started with is "Good Omens." A librarian recommended it to me during early lockdown when I called the library and asked the fabulous librarian for a recommendation for a funny book that won't insult my intelligence. And thus began my love affair with Pratchett.

In all the Severance fervour I was looking at other things the cast are in.
The actor playing Helly is in a bonkers show called Man Seeking Woman, about a hapless fellow trying to find a girlfriend.

Most likely? I don't know much about the creation of this album and Steven Stapleton is notoriously cagey about such matters.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:56pm
Rich in Washington:

Wiki: "Although largely collaged from easy-listening records Stapleton acquired in the late 1970s and early 1980s,[4] the album boasted a large cast list of over 40 people. John Balance is one of those who are credited, but he did not actually contribute. As Stapleton explained to Keenan, "I'd just finished this album with about 40 people on it. He said, "Can I be on it?". I said, "It's finished". He said, "I know but can you give me a credit anyway?", I said "Alright then" That was my first meeting with Balance"
